IN LIFETIME BRASS, OF COURSE !
If you're a detail hound, check out our new "Magnifier" by mousing over this photo. ( Wait until the "wheel" stops spinning. ) Check out the carefully researched unique LETTERING ! And how about our new TRUCKS ? These things were designed from the ground up to ROLL ! And roll they do ! ( The "Tickertape" includes a story about the tests we subjected 'em to ! )

PROGRESS REPORT: THE PASSENGER CARS WILL ARRIVE EARLY NOVEMBER ! "AR" LETTERS ARE GOING OUT NOW.
Our pal Se Ho arrived for the 29th National Narrow Gauge Convention with no less than 57 different versions of these splendid models ! Of course, tired out from driving and lacking the presence of mind to take pictures of our display there, we have little to show here except a few pics we shot this past week, and those we took after last year's convention.

But we have most of the convention-displayed cars here so I hope to get around to chronicling each and every one of them, (for posterity ) before they roll off into the sunset... So check back often...

Until then though, you'll just have to make do viewing last year's sample models which we captured following last year's convention.

But a "lost" color photograph, and both John Coker and Steve Swanson being adamant that the #252 was still green at that time, with yellow (Dulux) lettering, as was "B-20", convinced us that a last minute change was in order because this is the color our train has to be... You're going to love it !

In conclusion, yes, it has taken 'way longer to get this project this far, but with these newly received, beautifully executed Pilot Sample Models in hand, and the corrections and painting diagrams now completed, the clock has started ticking. Se Ho has promised us delivery on these before years end. The final quantities must be be cast in stone in one week.

WORTHY OF NOTE. . .

The painted models seen on this page are all PILOT / SAMPLE MODELS representative of the soon to arrive production run. Some of these sample models had corrections yet to be applied. Many of these corrections are chronicled in the "Slide Shows" of the individual sample cars.

Car Interiors have all the seating of the prototype, plus proper Coal Stoves, and Bathroom Partitions completed with Fixtures !

And of course, the Coaches and Combines have non-flickering interior lighting !

Each of the "tail end cars" has illuminated marker lamps, operated by a battery backed charging circuit to minimize bulb flicker !

Genuine Kadee Couplers have been factory installed also, along with our great, non-fouling "Real Rubber" Air Hoses !

And off course, topping this off you'll see superb factory painting in the proper colors, with carefully researched lettering and numbers applied. ( No, this isn't over-the-counter stuff. Each letter and number was created right here so it "looks right" ! ( And yes, unless otherwise noted, all roofs will be painted FLAT BLACK. )

These new Passenger Cars have the best rolling passenger car trucks ever to grace a run of brass models. These were also created right here, designed by us "outside the box" thinkers and committed to hard tooling. They are strong as houses, and roll like the wind !

To give you some idea how well they roll, our friends John and Mike McKenzie had their layout set up next to us at the Colorado convention. And of course, we wanted to show off a bit. So they condescended to allow us to "make up a train" for them to run during the show. The train contained 21 of our brand new box cars, ( yes, ten of these were sample models from the upcoming new run ! ) These boxcars were followed by their track polishing flat car, and one of our sample model "Pagosa Combines" ! We supplied one of our upcoming 'Hybrid" K-27's for motive power. ( DCC Sound and Light equipped. )

Now recall that the two heavy cars were at the tail end of this train ! Had they been anything less than super-free rolling, their drag would have caused the train to "daisy-chain" on the McKenzies curves. But they didn't. This train ran through the entire show with nary a hitch. So does it sound to you like they ROLL?

We have never yet received models from Boo Rim that have been anything less than stellar in the free rolling department! And though he didn't build the box cars, we've come up with an entirely new design for our 3'-7" arch bar trucks too ! So we couldn't miss !

We like to see our trains run. So we figure you do too. Betcha you can hardly wait to see yours arrive, eh ? Once they do you're sure to say "The wait's been worth it !" Us too. . .

Reservations for this model project have closed.
However, we are still accepting stand-by's.
