In this classic shot, our #315 is really lookin' the part of the Durango Switcher, isn't she?

Changes in this view will be her Marker Lamps and the way they're wired; her Headlight; her Airpump Governor; her Smokebox Front; and of course, other stuff you can't see here.

Here's a "going away" view of our #315. Although the 72 dpi images we have to use for these web photos don't do her justice, those classic "C" Class lines are there though, aren't they? You can almost here her "bark" as she toils at switching out a cut of cars, can't you?
You'll take comfort in the fact that yes, her coupler pocket will be changed to the "Wood Buffer" style we tooled up for so many years ago.

  • We included this shot so you could see just how close to the prototype a model can come, if all those involved care enough. The photo will open in a separate "window" so you won't lose your "place" by clicking on it.
  • Click on the RH Photo for a close up of how we modeled the tenders coal doors. The real thing has upper and lower doors. And in most case, the upper doors are swung back into the coal bunker so the fireman has easier access to the coal. Those "coal rakes" were heavy !
