- D&RGW "C-16" #316 circa the 1930's - ~ Updated 10-30-04 ~ |
Here's our parting shot of #316. The "C-18's" were long lanky critters when
compared to the "C-16" and "C-19" class lokies, weren't they ?
The scene could have used some SNOW, but of all the years we lived in Chama, it never occured to us to shoot any snow scenes. It figures, eh ? Notice how the Main Rod on #316 is attached to the 3rd axle instead of the 2nd as were those on the C-16's and C-19's ? As mentioned previously, #316 will return late in 2004, looking much like the model in this photo, but sporting much crisper details, finescale paint, and for the Foreground Models, typical P-B-L Crewmen. ( The guy you see in #316's cab is a bit oversized too. ) NOTE: We plan to construct these models based upon Firm Reservations, so we don't plan on any over-runs. If for some reason extras do become available, figure them to be on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.
