P-B-L Announces a BRAND NEW MODEL PROJECT: The D&RGW and R.G.S. "K-27" Class Mikados as HYBRID MODELS ! With all that the designation that implies, these models will truly combine the best of all available materials in order to satisfy the needs of the serious "Sn3" modeler, and the serious "Sn3" Model Collector alike !

Please bear in mind that this was a hurry-up test shot so we could display the parts at the "Sn3 Symposium" this week in St. Louis.
If you plan on being there, you'll be able to see the thing in person ! And yes, you can touch and handle it too! It's in no way fragile !

While designing this frame, much time and forethought went into truck pivot points. Why ? Well, rather than having the pilot and trailing trucks there simply as an afterthought, ours are now calculated to actually turn into the radius of your curves without "picking" at rail joints !

And yes, the models are designed so they can negotiate a 24" radius curve, although frankly speaking, we can't imagine why anyone would want to operate an engine of this size on such tight curves ?

The recommended MINIMUM RADIUS for "Sn3" is 26".
In case you haven't guessed it by now, we're 100% serious about this model project ! We began sending out a newsletter regarding this and the beginning of our totally re-tooled '3000' class boxcars the last week of February.

But don't panic if yours has yet to arrive because we had some problems with our printer, ( Operator errors and learning curves, you see. ) so they didn't all go out at one time.
