The text on the photo pretty much says it all, but we'd like to call your attention to the "genuine Oriental Rug" in the vestibule as seen through the rear windows... 'Ever wonder where other importers get "their" ideas?
   We're P-B-L... The INNOVATORS, not the IMITATORS...
   Perhaps you also noticed the carefully researched, 1920's, early 1930's era gold leaf lettering? And how about the beautiful new TRUCKS we designed and created especially for this project? They're one piece molded in CELCON, a high strength engineering plastic known for its "slipperiness" and self lubricating qualities, so boy-o-boy are they free rolling! And unlike fabricated brass trucks these things remain perfectly in tram...
   They are also complete with Electrical Pickups to supply power to the illuminated marker lamps and interior lighting, which themselves feature a "Stay Alive" circuit to prevent the lights from flickering !


   This writer would love to have been able to report that he'd chronicled all 57 versions "for posterity", but alas, that never happened. There was a total of 1008 cars in this production run with no less than 57 different versions of these gorgeous models to shoot and crop and resize for the web... Yr fthfl svt was simply overwhelmed... Sorry. . . .

Many of the cars you see here were pilot-sample models whch accounts for their lack of paint and interior detail... And though I had hoped to get around to chronicling each and every version of the the production models, (for posterity ) before they rolled off into the sunset, it just didn't happen...

WORTHY OF NOTE. . .

The painted models seen on this page are all PILOT / SAMPLE MODELS representative of the models in the production run. Some of these sample models had corrections yet to be applied. Many of these corrections are chronicled in the "Slide Shows" of the individual sample cars.

Car Interiors have all the seating seen in the prototype, and we even modeled the great looking "filigree" appearance of their cast iron sides! We've outfitted each car with proper Coal Stoves and Bathroom Partitions completed with Fixtures too!

And of course, the Coaches and Combines have non-flickering interior lighting, accomplished by utilizing a type of battery / track power charging circuit ! Once charged, these lights will stay lit for some time even after power is removed !

In addition, the "tail end cars" have illuminated marker lamps, also operated by this battery backed charging circuit so bulb flicker is a thing of the past !

Genuine Kadee Couplers have been factory installed also, along with our great, non-fouling "Real Rubber" Air Hoses !

And off course, topping this off you'll see superb factory painting in the proper colors, with carefully researched lettering and numbers applied. ( No, this isn't over-the-counter stuff. Each letter and number was created right here so it "looks right" ! And yes, unless otherwise noted, all roofs are painted FLAT BLACK. )

These new Passenger Cars have the best rolling passenger car trucks ever to grace a run of brass models. These were also created right here, designed by us "outside-the-box-thinkers" and committed to hard tooling. They are strong as houses, and roll like the wind !

To give you some idea how well they roll, our friends John and Mike McKenzie had their layout set up next to us at the Colorado convention. And of course, we wanted to show off a bit. So they condescended to allow us to "make up a train" for them to run during the show. The train contained 21 of our brand new box cars, ( yes, ten of these were sample models from the upcoming new run, now in stock ! ) These boxcars were followed by their track polishing flat car, and one of our sample model "Pagosa Combines" ! We supplied one of our upcoming 'Hybrid" K-27's for motive power. ( DCC Sound and Light equipped. )

Now recall that there were two heavy cars at the TAIL END of this train ! Had they been anything less than super-free rolling, their drag would have caused the train to "daisy-chain" on the McKenzies curves. But they didn't. This train ran through the entire show with nary a hitch. So does it sound to you like they ROLL?

We have never yet received models from Boo Rim that have been anything less than stellar in the free rolling department! And though he didn't build the box cars, we've come up with an entirely new design for our 3'-7" arch bar trucks too ! So we couldn't miss !
