As hard as it is to believe, it's been
ALMOST SEVEN YEARS
since we received our
second
production run of these beauties
!
And for many of our Sn3 modeling friends the wait has been agonizingly long...
For which we truly apologize, believe us... But for at least SOME of that time
we were beginning to wonder if we would ever see another run of box cars... So
you might say, we were at least as worried as you were... Perhaps even more
so...
But the good news is that THE WAIT IS NOW OVER
!
(Did I hear someone say "YAY"?)
As in previous model runs, these new Box Cars consist of
both "Camel" door and "Economy door versions... ( For the unintiated, this
required that we tool two different versions... An expensive proposition in any
man's terms... But "The Grande" had similar amounts of both versions on their
Narrow Gauge operations, and we figured that any self respecting D&RGW or
R.G.S. based layout would require the same... And as you peruse the different
versions below you will see that the differences are obvious... )
Below are a couple of close-up views that were a true test of my
camera. ( And its operator, ahem... ) If you are into detail, like the ad says,
you're
going to like what you see

Each of these models is a faithful reproduction of its prototype, in
miniature...
Each is equipped with GENUINE KADEE® Couplers, and COINED, NICKEL PLATED
BRASS Wheelsets... And each is Ready-to-Operate, right out of the box...
Of course, we would like to see these models populating all of our customers
layouts. But keep in mind that these are SCALE MODELS, not children's toys.
As delivered, they are designed to be operated on 27" and larger radius
curves... For operation on tighter radius curves, some of that beautiful brake
rigging will likely have to be removed... Pity......
