- D&RGW "C-16" #316 circa the 1930's - ~ Updated 10-30-04 ~ |
Here's #316 shot in front of one of those backdrops we love so much. Although
she's one of our very favorite locomotives, she wasn't without some problems.
Most notibly, her tender trucks are a good 15% oversized. This'll be corrected
when she makes her 2004-2005 comeback.
( Gosh, has it been THAT long ? Do you realize that makes this run 20 YEARS since she last saw a production run ! By jing, it's about time, isn't it ? Maybe we should commerate this even with some sort of "T" Shirts or somesuch ? Wow ! ) In this photo, we staged her with one of our "Short" Reefers in tow. It just sort of "made" the scene, y'see. You can Click here for some close-up views of this reefer. #316 will return late in 2004, looking much like the model in this photo, but sporting much crisper details, finescale paint, and for the Foreground Models, typical P-B-L Crewmen. ( The guy you see in #316's cab is a bit oversized too. ) NOTE: We plan to construct these models based upon Firm Reservations, so we don't plan on any over-runs. If for some reason extras do become available, figure them to be on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.
